Principal's Message
To celebrate NAIDOC week, Year 5-6 students have been writing poetry. I have permission to share this poem, written by a proud Aboriginal student - Tate Pearce.
Respect
Respect our culture, make it fair,
For all us Aboriginals
living out there.
The Ancestors' footprints, from their feet,
Their stories so good,
I wish we could meet.
The mountains, the sea, the grass and the trees
all hold a story.
The language we share,
the ground and the air,
Us Aboriginals will always care.
From the footprints and stories,
the paintings and drawings,
Respect Aboriginals.
Do it now.
We've been here
from when Mother Nature began.
Respect our ancestors,
make them proud.
Make sure you spread the words of
Indigenous respect around.
So that's all I ask,
to spread the word today.
So when we are together,
Respect will show us the way!
